Work From Home Mom Life(real talk)
Working from home as a single mom and homeschooler is such a blessing. It’s literally everything I prayed for. But here’s the real talk…
It’s hard. The kids are in my face constantly. I don’t get a lot of “me time”. The work never ends. And it’s hard to create a schedule that works for all of us every day.
But the rest of the real talk is this: it’s effing awesome. We get to do things like travel. Hang out at the park. Visit with friends and family when we want to. Have a movie break in the middle of the day. The fun options are all around us.
When my husband left me in 2018 my prayer was that I wouldn’t have to give up the life I so intricately created for my kids. I knew God called me to be home and I believed he would make a way. It’s been a long road of ups and downs. Working out of the home and transitioning back to home. But God is good and He always makes a way where I feel like there is no way. ❤️

Working from home as a mom can be both rewarding and challenging. Many single mothers find themselves navigating the complexities of homeschooling while trying to manage their work responsibilities from home. The flexibility allows for precious family moments, such as spontaneous trips to the park or mid-afternoon movie breaks. However, it also presents unique challenges, such as the need for effective time management and self-care. Establishing a routine can help provide structure amid the chaos, yet it requires the flexibility to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Community support is vital for work-from-home moms, as shared experiences provide comfort and practical strategies. Engaging with online groups or forums can help in forming connections with other mothers facing similar challenges. Additionally, resources such as homeschooling guides and work-life balance tips can be invaluable. Ultimately, while the journey may have its ups and downs, it’s important to remember the blessings of this unique lifestyle, including the ability to witness your children's growth firsthand while pursuing your own work and passions.
