With Rosie month coming around the corner, I wanted to throw it all the way back to our first pride together back in 2019. We were both young and so excited. I wish I could tell them about go far we’ve made it 🥲

They become not just a celebration, but also a reminder of how far the community has progressed in terms of rights and recognition. Reflecting back on 2019, one can’t help but recall the energy and excitement that filled the air. Many attend their first pride parade filled with a mix of emotions: hope, joy, and sometimes anxiety. It's about showing up authentically and supporting one another in an environment filled with color and diversity. With hashtags like #pridemonth and #lgbtq🌈 gaining traction, the message of love continues to spread far and wide. We’re reminded of the importance of being unapologetically ourselves and creating spaces for everyone to belong. It’s crucial to keep sharing these stories and memories—whether through social media or personal diaries—allowing others to connect and feel seen. Together, let’s honor our stories and the paths we’ve walked, whether it’s sharing experiences from our first pride or highlighting ongoing struggles within the LGBTQ+ community.
