A Diamond In The ruff
💎 He didn’t love me the way I loved him… but I still shine.
This is my story, my anthem, my healing. Diamond In The Ruff is for every woman who gave her all, only to realize her worth is priceless. ✨
🎶 A mix of soul, rap, and realness — inspired by Ed Sheeran, Inayah, and GloRilla.
I’m a plus-size queen, a heart too big to hide, and I’m done dimming my light. 💖

Hey Queens! If you're reading this, chances are you've connected with the message of 'Diamond In The Ruff' – feeling like you've given your all, only to realize your worth is beyond measure. It’s a tough journey, but one we absolutely don't have to walk alone. My EP is one way I’m sharing my healing, but I’ve found another incredibly powerful tool that helps me process those deep feelings and truly step into my shine: journaling. Journaling isn't just about pretty notebooks or perfect handwriting; it's a sacred space where you can be completely honest with yourself, without judgment. When you’ve given your all in a relationship, a friendship, or even a situation, and it didn't turn out how you hoped, those feelings can sit heavy. Writing them down helps to lift that weight. It allows you to untangle your thoughts, understand complex emotions, and even identify patterns that might be holding you back. For me, it's been like having a best friend who listens without interruption and helps me see things from a clearer perspective. So, how do you start? The beauty of journaling is there are no rules. Grab any notebook and a pen you like. Find a quiet spot where you feel safe and comfortable – maybe with some calming music, like my EP, playing in the background. Don't worry about grammar or spelling; just let your thoughts flow onto the page. Consistency is key, even if it's just five minutes a day. The more you do it, the more you'll discover about yourself. Here are some prompts that have really helped me, especially when I felt overlooked or unappreciated, and was trying to reconnect with my inner 'Diamond In The Ruff': When you've given your all: What did I truly invest in this situation? What were my intentions? How did I feel when my efforts weren't reciprocated? What lessons can I take from this experience about my own boundaries and needs? Reclaiming your worth: What are three things I love about myself, right now? What are my unique strengths and talents? How can I celebrate my own achievements, big or small? What does being 'priceless' mean to me, personally? Healing from heartbreak: What emotions am I feeling today? What do I need to release? What steps can I take today to nurture myself? What does a healthy future look like for me, and how can I start building it now? Embracing your 'plus-size queen' self: How do I feel about my body today? What positive affirmations can I give myself about my appearance or my strength? How can I show myself more kindness and love? Listening to music, especially empowering anthems like 'Diamond In The Ruff,' can be a wonderful companion to your journaling practice. Let the rhythm and lyrics resonate with your feelings as you write. It’s like the song gives voice to what you’re trying to express, and journaling helps you deepen that personal connection. Remember, every single one of us is a diamond, even when we feel like we're still in the rough. Giving your all is a beautiful thing, but it's even more beautiful when you know how to protect your energy and value yourself first. Journaling is a powerful step on that path to healing and truly shining your brightest. So, grab your journal, press play on the EP, and start writing your next chapter – one where you are the undeniable star!
