seize the SATURDAY
🌅 Morning: Started the day with an early grocery trip 🛒 to beat the weekend rush. Lowe’s was nearby, so we stopped to check out their Christmas decor and trees 🎄. Since we sold our old tree before moving from Georgia, we’re on the hunt for a new one. I’ve got my heart set on a 9-foot tree to match our taller ceilings this year!
🌧️ Afternoon: Spent the afternoon relaxing at home 🏡 after a productive cleaning session 🧼. My husband was watching college football 🏈 while I helped my oldest with a school project ✏️📚 and got to work on my website. I’m soooo excited to finish it and share it with you all! 💻✨ Football didn’t go well for us today – Texas Tech lost to Colorado, and Georgia (my husband’s team) lost too 😔, so it was a rough day for the fans in our house.
Evening: We ended the day with a family movie night 🍿🎬 – a cozy way to wind down. One of my goals is to perfect braiding to the scalp, and I’m so grateful my son lets me practice on him. This is only my second attempt, and it’s not perfect, but I know that the only way to improve is to keep practicing 💪🏽.

Saturdays are a perfect opportunity to spend quality time with family and engage in activities that bring joy. Consider starting your day early with a grocery trip, as it not only helps you avoid crowds but also sets a positive tone for the weekend. Decorating your home for the holidays can be a fun family event; look for unique decorations that match your style, such as a stunning 9-foot Christmas tree. In the afternoon, consider balancing relaxation with productivity. It's a great time to share household chores, help children with school projects, or work on personal goals like building a website or enhancing skills, such as hair braiding. Practicing new techniques can be rewarding, and family members can support each other in the learning process. As the day winds down, establish a cozy tradition like a family movie night. Choose films that everyone will enjoy and make it special with popcorn and comfy blankets. Engaging in these activities cultivates family bonds and creates lasting memories. How do you make the most of your Saturdays? Embrace these moments and share your experiences, too!
