Frosted + Coastal 🎄

If you would’ve told me years ago that my style for Christmas would be monochromatic with greens and pops of browns and oranges- I would’ve told you that doesn’t sound cute. But somehow over the years, this is where I’ve landed and it’s totally me and totally unique! It somehow looks coastal without the typical coastal elements. Sharing both lit and unlit versions because this tree is a stunner both ways 🤩

This year I got pretty creative with some DIY stuff ⤵️

𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧:

•🏓 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨: I wanted the globe light look added to the tree but matching warm white lights is chaos. Cutting holes into ping pong balls and slipping them over the existing lights was so much easier!

•𝙋𝙤𝙥𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙣 🍿 + 𝙊𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 🍊 𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙: I’m so picky with how garland looks on a tree. I’ve been doing the oranges the last few years but wanted a little more, while still remaining subtle. I added some fresh oranges for new pop of color, and popcorn to add a little dimension with the flocked tree.

•𝙂𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 🤎 𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨: gotta be honest, I didn’t DIY these 😂 but I scored them from @target and they’re so cute and realistic looking!

Monochromatic color schemes featuring soft greens combined with warm browns and oranges create a tranquil yet stylish Christmas tree. A popular trend this year involves DIY decorations, which not only personalize your space but also add a unique touch that store-bought decor simply can't replicate. Incorporate natural materials like fresh oranges as garland to introduce pops of color and charm. For a whimsical glow, transforming ping pong balls into globe lights can provide a soft and serene ambiance. If you're leaning towards practical yet stylish ornaments, consider purchasing realistic-looking gingerbread ornaments that won't require time-consuming DIY efforts. To align with current trends, remember to infuse personal touches into your holiday decor this season while keeping a balance between elegance and creativity. Use meaningful decorations that tell a story or evoke memories for a truly personal holiday atmosphere. By using thoughtful combinations of color, materials, and DIY elements, your coastal-themed Christmas can be both stunning and reflective of your personal style.
