... Read moreHey everyone! If there’s one role I absolutely adore playing in Wild Rift, it’s definitely support, especially when I get to be a healer. There's just something so satisfying about keeping your team alive, turning around a losing fight, and watching those 'Thanks!' pings roll in. For me, a great healer can truly make or break a game, and mastering them has totally transformed my gameplay experience in this wildrift edition!
You might be wondering, 'Why bother with healers when I can just go for damage?' Well, sustain is key! In Wild Rift, team fights happen constantly, and having a champion that can consistently top up health bars allows your carries to stay in the fray longer, secure objectives, and push for victory without having to recall every few minutes. It also creates a huge psychological advantage, making the enemy team feel like they can never quite finish off your allies.
My absolute go-to healer has to be Soraka. Her Astral Infusion (Q) and Starcall (W) combo can be so annoying for enemies and a lifesaver for allies. I always prioritize getting her a Redemption or Ardent Censer early. Positioning is everything with Soraka – you want to be close enough to heal, but far enough to avoid getting instantly bursted. One tip I always tell my friends is to use her Q to heal yourself and then W your ally, it's super mana efficient!
Another fantastic 'gal' I love to play is Nami. Her Ebb and Flow (W) bounces between allies and enemies, providing both healing and damage. Her Aqua Prison (Q) is a game-changer for disengage or setting up kills. I find her ult, Tidal Wave, is perfect for initiating team fights or peeling for a squishy ADC. Mastering her bubble takes practice, but it's incredibly rewarding when you land it.
If you're looking for a more relaxed but incredibly potent healing experience, Yuumi, the Magical Cat, is a riot! Attaching to your strongest teammate and boosting their stats while healing them is pure genius. I often find myself attaching to the jungler during ganks or the ADC in lane, making them virtually unkillable. Plus, her ultimate, Final Chapter, can single-handedly win team fights with its root. Just remember to detach occasionally to block skill shots or apply Moonlit Rush!
When it comes to items for these Wild Rift healers, I generally start with something that gives mana regeneration, like Faerie Charm, and then rush for crucial items like Ardent Censer (for attack speed buffs) or Harmonic Echo (for burst healing). Redemption is also a must-have for those crucial team-wide heals. Remember, your builds should adapt to the enemy team composition and what your allies need most!
I often compare how different healers perform against certain enemy comps. For instance, if the enemy has a lot of burst damage, I find Soraka's consistent healing and global ult more effective to survive the initial onslaught. But if we need more engage or disengage, then Nami's crowd control is my preferred champion in the Wild Rift edition. Knowing which champions I use against different matchups makes a huge difference in my win rate!
So, if you haven't tried playing a healer support yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot. It's a truly impactful role that can be incredibly fun and rewarding. Go out there and support your gals (and guys!) to victory in Wild Rift!
