Cheddar Bay Biscuit Chicken Pot Pie Bake

Yallllll this was sooooo good.

Only thing I changed was I added Pepper & Garloc Butter Seasoning. Then I added a thin layer of cheese on top of pot pie mixture before adding the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix on top.

I highly recommend trying this. ❤️🫶

... Read moreOkay, y'all, I just have to rave about this Cheddar Bay Biscuit Chicken Pot Pie Bake again! It was seriously out-of-this-world delicious, and I can't believe how easy it was to throw together. That golden-brown, cheesy biscuit topping really takes it to the next level, making it so much more exciting than a traditional pie crust. If you're looking for an amazing comfort food dinner, this is it! Since so many of you are probably wondering, 'what to serve with chicken pot pie?' or 'what goes good with chicken pot pie?', let me share some of my favorite side dish ideas that pair perfectly with this rich and creamy bake. A crisp, fresh green salad with a light vinaigrette is always a winner – it cuts through the richness beautifully. Or, if you want more veggies, roasted asparagus or steamed green beans with a little butter and garlic are fantastic. For something a bit heartier, you could try baking some sweet potato fries or even a simple rice pilaf. And honestly, sometimes all you need is a spoonful of cranberry sauce on the side for a little tangy sweetness! Now, about the *creamy filling with chicken and vegetables*! While I used canned mixed vegetables for convenience, don't be afraid to customize. You could totally use fresh peas, carrots, corn, or even some diced potatoes. Sautéing them first can add even more depth of flavor. And for the chicken, I just used pre-cooked shredded chicken to make it super fast, but leftover rotisserie chicken would be perfect too! The base with cream of chicken soup and a bit of sour cream makes it incredibly smooth and comforting. Speaking of the biscuit mix part of this dish – that Cheddar Bay Biscuit topping is the star! The original recipe is great, but adding that extra layer of shredded cheese right on top of the pot pie mixture before adding the biscuit dough really makes it extra cheesy and gives it that beautiful golden crust you see in the pictures. I also loved adding some pepper and garlic butter seasoning to the biscuit mix itself for an extra flavor boost. It really elevated the whole dish. If you don't have Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix on hand, you could try using a regular biscuit dough and adding your own cheese and garlic powder – it won't be quite the same, but still delicious! This answers a lot of questions about 'recipe using cheddar bay biscuits' and 'biscuit dough for chicken pot pie,' showing how versatile it can be. When it comes to 'how to serve chicken pot pie' or 'how to eat a chicken pot pie', it's best served warm, straight out of the oven. The biscuits will be perfectly flaky and the filling piping hot. It reheats pretty well too! Just pop it in the oven or microwave, though the biscuits might lose a little crispness in the microwave. This dish is such a complete meal on its own, but those sides really round it out for a family dinner. It's definitely one of those 'meals like chicken pot pie' that just screams comfort and homemade goodness. Give it a try, you won't regret it!
