Beginner Ballet Combinations💕

The key is a smooth, controlled movement down and up, maintaining your alignment. Let's talk about some other movements that are crucial for beginners. I've found that practicing Frappés really helps with speed and precision. It’s a sharp, striking motion of the foot, usually done *devant*, *à la seconde*, or *derrière*. Then there's Rond de Jambe, which is a circular movement of the leg. You can do it à terre (on the floor) or en l'air (in the air), and it's fantastic for hip articulation. And don't forget Fondu – it means "to melt" – a beautiful, controlled bending and straightening of the supporting leg while the working leg extends. It's like a plié on one leg! For bigger movements, we have Grand Battement, which is a large, brushed kick of the leg from the hip, maintaining control. And for grace and sustained movement, Adagio exercises are wonderful. They involve slow, continuous, and controlled movements like Développé, where the leg unfolds slowly to an extended position. Learning to hold a Développé with stability is incredibly rewarding.
