Vintage Halloween Costume Inspo 👻

Fun fact, in slide 6, the first 3 are actually more Pierrot inspired. The 4th (bottom righthand corner) looks more like a harlequin design, which are usually typified by colorful diamond prints in jewel tones vs the classic Pierrot black & white. Pierrot was typically a more tragic, sad clown character (& often mime) whereas Harlequin was more of a devilish, acrobatic, trickster type. Love this pic collection though, homemade costumes like these are so much more beautiful than your average prepackaged stuff these days, imo!

i’m pretty sure some of the clowns are actually pierrots!
