In my journey of creating album art, I initially experimented with AI-generated designs for my first two covers. Deciding to shift away from AI art, I focused on crafting a cover that better represented my identity and the essence of my album. This decision reminded me how important it is for musicians to maintain creative control over their entire project, not just the music but also the visual elements that shape listeners’ first impressions. Moreover, with the cover now shouting 'little me, big dreams' and featuring nostalgic elements like football, it feels much more relatable and sincere. Incorporating these personal touches has made the album feel more genuine both to myself and to my audience. Sharing this process taught me that authenticity in art, whether in music or visuals, often resonates stronger than automated perfection. For fellow artists considering AI tools, I encourage balancing them with personal creativity. While AI can be a helpful starting point, investing time in meaningful, handcrafted design often leads to a more impactful and emotionally engaging final product.
