Move on.…

Move on.

Move on like you never knew them —

because in the deepest truth of it all,

you didn’t.

You knew the story you wrote about them.

You knew the promises you whispered in the dark when no one was listening.

You knew the echo of what you hoped they could be but not the reality that stood before you, hollow and quiet, wearing a face you once trusted.

You loved the version of them you painted in the colors of your own soul.

You stitched their flaws into beauty,

you wrapped their silences in meaning,

you carried their absence like a badge of honor,

never realizing you were fighting for something that barely existed.

So move on.

Move on like you owe yourself the truth

because you do.

Cry if you must.

Mourn the future you imagined.

Bury the conversations that never happened, the moments that never came.

But don’t you dare stay where your spirit was forgotten.

Don’t you dare keep watering dead soil, praying for roots to grow.

You didn’t know them.

Not really.

You knew their potential.

You knew their possibility.

But you didn’t know their commitment —

because if you had, you would have seen it:

commitment doesn’t hide,

doesn’t stay silent,

doesn’t leave you guessing.

So move on.

Not bitter, not broken —

but wiser, clearer, stronger.

Move on with the fire that only disappointment can ignite.

Move on with the softness that only true healing can bring.

Move on like the door has closed behind you,

like the chapter has ended in ink so dark you could never erase it if you tried.

Move on like your life depends on it —

because it does.

Because there is a version of you waiting in the distance,

standing in the sunlight of a life that was always meant for you.

There is a version of you that will never again beg for love to stay.

Never again question whether you are enough.

Never again cling to what cannot love you back.

So lift your head.

Fix your crown.

Walk away —

not because you lost something,

but because you finally remembered you never had to beg for it in the first place.

Move on.

Move on.

Move on.

And never look back.
