Which instruments could I learn wont bother ppl?

I’m thinking Something not strident and portable. I have some idea of what musical instrument that could be but I don't want to sway your opinion. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

any electric version of an instrument because most likely you can attach headphones to it and or there are apps you can download to see if your hitting the right notes without hearing it but it could be pricey in the start but cheaper in the long run
