Fed up with apartment drama

I moved from 1b to 2b in the same apartment complex, got hit with a $900 “late notice” fee for a unit already re-rented. I asked politely if they’d waive it (since AZ law says you can’t charge fees without actual losses), but they brushed me off: “Take us to court.” Then I used ChatGPT to draft a demand letter citing state tenant laws. When the manager threatened to involve their lawyers, I reminded her AZ small claims court doesn’t allow attorneys, she’d have to face me directly. A week later, I got the refund. Also forced a dryer replacement via relentless service requests. Guys, you gotta know your rights, and lean on small claims court threats. Anyone related?
