Jane Fonda and Wanda Sykes just had a sweet “Monster-in-Law” reunion at Variety’s Power Of Women and it got me thinking why did Wanda vanish from the show after Season 8?
Her scenes with Larry were the funniest parts of the whole series. I’d always light up when they started bickering. So when she didn’t come back after Season 8? Was it her call? Did she just lose interest in doing more seasons? Or did the writers think there was nothing left to do with her character?
It’s such a bummer, she brought so much spark to the show, and it never felt the same without her. Do you think they missed a trick by not bringing her back? And what do you bet the two talked about at that reunion was “Monster-in-Law” nostalgia front and center?
