Similarly, when the fear of making the wrong decision arises, replacing it with the thought, "There's no perfect choice, just progress," encourages me to move forward without getting stuck in analysis paralysis. It’s important to accept that every decision has some level of uncertainty and that growth comes from taking steps rather than waiting for the ‘perfect’ moment. I've also noticed how regret can feed overthinking, such as ruminating on what I should've said or done differently. In those moments, telling myself, "I did the best I could with what I knew then," helps me practice self-compassion and learn from past experiences without harsh judgment. Incorporating these thought swaps into daily life requires conscious effort, but over time they become natural ways to challenge and change negative thinking patterns. They empower me to shift from being an overthinker to a proactive individual who trusts their decisions and embraces progress.
