Does God want us to Suffer?
Or is He trying to teach us something deeper?
One of the hardest parts of walking with God is learning to ignore our own desires and stop leaning on our own understanding. But when you start trusting what He says is right—not just what feels right—you’ll notice everything begins to align. The peace? The clarity? The growth? It all starts showing up.
Let’s talk about longsuffering—one of the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22–23. Longsuffering doesn’t mean God wants us in pain forever. It means He’s building something stronger in us: patience, character, and hope.
Here’s my truth:
If you asked me am I doing better mentally… I would say yes. But if you asked me on a deeper level, I would say God has given me peace of mind—and all I had to do was follow His word and commandments. Surely, everything I did started to align with the path He set for me.
Even when I feel fatigue and weak from my diabetes, I know God won’t let me suffer for long. I think about 2 Peter 3:9 and Colossians 3:12. God’s word teaches that He is longsuffering with us—not punishing, but patient. And we are called to mirror that. To endure. To trust. To grow.
He’s not delaying to hurt you. He’s waiting to bless you at the right time.

Reflect on how your challenges may have provided opportunities for growth. Often, the most profound realizations about our purpose and divine support emerge during our toughest moments. Trust that every trial serves a greater purpose, and in God’s timing, the blessings will manifest. Ultimately, seek connection with others through faith-focused discussions and communities that emphasize healing and growth as we navigate life's challenges together.
