... Read moreRamadan is a special time that encourages all of us to reflect, improve ourselves, and embrace kindness and self-discipline. From personal experience, the beginning of Ramadan brings a noticeable shift in behavior as many people, like the 'Yoruba demons' jokingly mentioned, pause their usual antics such as 'sliding into DMs' to focus on spiritual growth and community. It’s both amusing and inspiring to see how the holy month prompts us to be more mindful, respectful, and considerate. While it’s easy to keep up the good conduct during Ramadan, the real challenge lies in sustaining these positive habits after Eid when the celebrations wind down. Many wish to carry forward the spirit of self-restraint, generosity, and empathy they’ve cultivated, but everyday life often pulls us back into old patterns. My personal journey has been about consciously integrating the lessons of Ramadan into daily routines — whether it’s being more patient with loved ones, fasting from harmful words as well as food, or volunteering to help those in need. The hashtag #RamadanKareem symbolizes more than just greetings; it represents a communal mindset of compassion and transformation. Embracing this mindset means viewing Ramadan as a starting point for lasting positive change rather than a temporary seasonal shift. As we observe the holy month, let’s encourage each other to maintain these values all year round, fostering a more harmonious and empathetic world.
