My son is going to be a drummer! #lemon8diary
Well… it looks like my son is going to be a drummer!
Anyone else’s son have an obsession to bang rocks to his own beat?
What interests does your son or daughter have that they get from you?
I like to sing and have been in choir since elementary. He doesn’t speak yet, but once he found out you can make noise with different objects he has not stopped. His beats are pretty fire too… I am hoping to get him a small drum set for his birthday.
He loves to use a shaker when I sing songs. His favorite song is the abcs. When I get to LMNOP he likes to shake as fast as he can.
Are you a fellow mom? Let’s connect! I need more friends 🥰

As a parent, discovering your child's interests can be truly rewarding. For many kids, expressing themselves through music is a natural inclination. Encouraging creativity through instruments like drums, shakers, or even singing can boost cognitive development and strengthen familial bonds. Studies suggest that engaging children in musical activities enhances their learning abilities and emotional intelligence. If your child shows a passion for music, consider introducing various instruments to facilitate their exploration. Small percussion instruments such as tambourines or maracas can help cultivate rhythm and coordination even before they play a full drum set. On social media, many parents share their tips on how to nurture young musicians through platforms like #MomLife and #LittleDrummerBoy. Creating a supportive environment where your child feels comfortable to make noise allows them to develop confidence in their musical abilities. Take time to join in on the fun - sing along, dance, and celebrate their spontaneous performances. Not only does this foster a love for music, but it also deepens your connection as a family. As you embark on this musical journey with your child, remember that every beat matters and each jam session creates cherished memories. Let’s celebrate our little drummers and all the joy they bring into our lives!
