I’ve been giving my all to these California Kitties that feature some of our most distinctive seasonal California native plants.
Spring: California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) are known to be the focal point of super blooms and are also the state flower.
Summer : California Buckwheat (Eriogonum fasciculatum) is drought tolerant with seeds that can be ground into edible flour.
Autumn: California Sycamore (Platanus racemosa) trees naturally are great indicators that a water source is nearby.
Winter: Toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia) berries were once mistaken for holly berries - the mistake leading to Hollywood getting its name.
