... Read moreOMG, you guys! I'm still buzzing from unlocking my fourth Diamond camo in Call of Duty Mobile! It feels like such a huge achievement every time. For those of you who might be new to the grind or are still working on your first one, let me tell you, it’s absolutely worth it for that stunning unique diamond and golden design. It really makes your favorite weapon stand out in battle. It's truly a distinctive look, far beyond just a golden finish.
So, what exactly is a Diamond camo? It's one of the most prestigious weapon skins you can earn in CODM, a true mark of dedication. To even start working towards Diamond, you first need to unlock the Gold camo for that specific weapon. That means completing all the base camouflage challenges – things like getting headshots, hipfire kills, long shots, and so on. It can be a bit of a journey, but once you hit Gold, you're on the right track!
After Gold, the real grind for Diamond begins. You need to get 10 kills in 120 separate matches using that specific gold-camoed weapon. Yes, you read that right – 120 matches! It sounds daunting, but trust me, with the right strategy, it becomes much more manageable.
Here are a few quick tips that really helped me with my latest Diamond unlock:
Choose the Right Mode: Free-For-All (FFA) or Hardpoint on smaller maps like Shipment, Rust, or Nuketown are your best friends. These modes are fast-paced, guaranteeing you lots of engagements and opportunities for those 10 kills per match. I particularly love Shipment for its chaos!
Focus on One Gun at a Time: It's super tempting to switch between weapons, but focusing on one until you get its Diamond camo is the most efficient way. Keep track of your progress – there’s a counter in the Gunsmith under the 'Camos' section.
Play Smart, Not Just Hard: Don't just rush in blindly. Play to your strengths with that specific weapon. For SMGs, get up close and personal. For LMGs, control lanes. For snipers, find good vantage points.
Embrace Bots: Sometimes, you'll get into matches with a lot of bots, especially in less popular modes or at certain times of the day. Don't shy away from these – they're perfect for racking up those 10 kills quickly and moving on to the next match.
Perseverance is Key: There will be days when you feel like giving up, or you have a string of bad matches. Just take a break, come back refreshed, and remember that stunning diamond and golden design waiting for you! The feeling of seeing that “Diamond” pop up is truly unmatched.
My latest Diamond was for an assault rifle, and it was quite the journey. But seeing it glinting in the lobby, knowing all the effort that went into it, is just so satisfying. If you're going for Diamond, keep at it! Which gun are you currently grinding for Diamond? Let me know in the comments, and maybe we can share more tips!
