Hidden Ohio Gem!

Buzzard's Roost This Nature Preserve is one of our favorite places!!! So much nature to explore, hiking, and beautiful views over Ross County, OH! If you’re ever in the area, this is a must-explore area for sure! Pack some water, snacks, and your best hiking shoes because you can spend at least a couple of days here exploring the trails! Have kids? Check out their storybook trail, where you can enter a fairy house, play on a natural teeter totter, and see a bug house! There’s always plenty of wildlife to be seen. There are bathrooms with plumbing as well in the beautiful shelter house for a lunch break! Down at the main parking you’ll find a wonderful sitting area as well, with a brick fire pit and a picnic table. The naturalists put on some amazing programs for kids throughout the year as well! This is a great place for exploring nature, and there’s always a good chance you’ll see me there too! Lol
