When life gives you overripe bananasā¦make šBread
The best snack is made with ingredients you already have in your kitchen. šš¼
This recipe is my go-to ā warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. I didnāt have baking soda this time, so I doubled up on baking powder and honestly? Still turned out amazing.
Hereās what you need:
3 ripe mashed bananas
2 eggs
½ cup milk
½ cup melted butter
1½ cups flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda (or 2.5 tsp baking powder if you're out!)
¼ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt (I used pink Himalayan)
1 tsp vanilla (I also didnāt have anymore of this so I used buttery vanilla emulsion)
Mix, pour into a greased loaf pan, and bake at 355°F for about 50 minutes (check early just in case your oven runs hot!). Let it cool before removing ā or use parchment paper to skip the flip!

Banana bread is a popular recipe that turns ripe bananas into a delicious loaf, perfect for breakfast or a snack. This treat is not only easy to make but also incredibly versatile; you can add nuts, chocolate chips, or even swap in different spices for added flavor. The key to perfect banana bread lies in the ripeness of the bananas ā the more spots, the better! Using overripe bananas enhances the sweetness and moisture of the bread, yielding a soft and fluffy texture. To ensure the best results, mix the ingredients carefully. Overmixing can lead to tough bread, so combine until just blended. For extra richness, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract; if youāre out of vanilla, alternatives like almond or coconut extract work well too. For storage, wrap the cooled Banana Bread in plastic wrap or foil and keep it at room temperature for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen for longer preservation; just slice it before freezing for easy access. Enjoy a warm slice with a pat of butter or cream cheese for the ultimate indulgence! Don't forget to experiment with your baking; every little change can lead to a new favorite recipe!
