One of my favorite combinations to prep is teriyaki marinated chicken and salmon—the marinade adds a flavorful punch without needing extra effort during cooking. Pairing these proteins with roasted potatoes and green beans creates a balanced meal that's both satisfying and nutritious. Roasting the potatoes brings out their natural sweetness and a crispy texture that complements the tender chicken or flaky salmon. Green beans add a fresh, vibrant crunch and plenty of vitamins. What I love about this meal prep is its versatility. You can switch up the marinade or swap in different veggies depending on what's in season or what you have on hand. Also, cooking everything in one go and portioning them into containers makes grabbing a healthy meal effortless during the week. From my experience, letting the teriyaki marinade sit on the chicken or salmon for a few hours before cooking helps intensify the flavor. I usually bake or pan-sear the proteins, which keeps them juicy and delicious. This method allows me to enjoy a homemade, nutritious meal even on my busiest days without sacrificing taste or time.
