The Wedding Chapel by Rachel Hauck
“Do you think buildings have a soul, Taylor?” He jutted out his square chin where a soft dusting of white whiskers caught the light. “A soul?” she said, raising her gaze to the ceiling. “I reckon not. Only humans have souls. But I suppose an old building just might have a heart.”
I have said it before and I will say it again. Rachel Hauck is an incredibly talented writer! I love how she manages to blend dual timelines and multiple points of view in a way that tells a story that makes me feel literally every emotion. There were parts of the story that broke my heart and parts where I was so frustrated with the characters, like just talk to each other already!! It made my heart sad that Jimmy and Collette missed so much time together. I did love getting to see their early days as well as the story of Jack and Taylor. Their emotions and insecurities made their story so relatable. The entire story of the chapel and how it drew everyone together touched my heart as well. For me, it truly brought home how God can use anything to guide us and help us find His will. I love this series and am looking forward to reading the next book.
