Another Laundry Hack 🧺
I forgot to add this to my pinesol slide- but I wanted to give the dryer balls a try, to replace the dryer sheets. Again I’ve heard nothing but good things.
Using these- I throw like 3 balls per load in- and my clothes come out much softer than usual. And now they never come out damp where I may have to run the dryer cycle again.
Now, I live in an apartment so this part doesn’t really pertain to me- but it also says these help clothes dry faster so you can run the dryer for less amount of time to save energy.
What I haven’t tried- is the essential oil aspect of it. So if anyone uses these and they add essential oils to the balls for smell- let me know how you like it and which scents leave the clothes smelling the best!
But even without essential oils the clothes still smell really good!

Dryer balls, especially those made from 100% premium sheep wool, are an eco-friendly alternative to traditional dryer sheets. They work by separating clothes in the dryer, allowing hot air to circulate more efficiently, which reduces drying time and saves energy. Unlike chemical-laden dryer sheets, wool dryer balls are reusable and free of harmful additives, making them safer for sensitive skin and the environment. Using about three dryer balls per load is commonly recommended to achieve optimal softness and faster drying, as experienced by many users. Additionally, incorporating a few drops of essential oils such as lavender, eucalyptus, or citrus onto the balls can infuse laundry with a pleasant scent. These oils not only provide natural fragrance but can also have antibacterial properties that keep clothes smelling fresh longer. Premium dryer balls are durable and can last for hundreds of loads, helping reduce waste and cost over time. They prevent static cling naturally and help soften fabrics, enhancing overall laundry quality. For apartment dwellers or those with limited drying space, these balls can be especially beneficial in ensuring clothes come out completely dry, minimizing the need for additional drying cycles. When selecting dryer balls, look for those made from high-quality wool and avoid synthetic alternatives that may not provide the same benefits. Using a breathable laundry storage bag to keep the dryer balls clean and organized can prolong their lifespan. This simple laundry hack not only improves the softness and smell of your clothes but also contributes to energy savings and environmentally friendly laundry routines, making it a practical addition to your cleaning products.
