Black love, bold like the sun at noon,
Soft as our whispers under a crescent moon.
We started with fire, with rhythm, with soul—
Now silence speaks louder than love used to hold.
I gave and gave, you took with ease,
One-sided vows bring hearts to their knees.
You called it love, I called it war,
Fighting alone while you closed every door.
You didn’t even feel the moment you broke us—
Like a storm that passed but never woke us.
Now I stay, not for peace but fear,
What’s scarier than leaving… is not having you near.
But how do you hold what don’t reach back?
How do you love through a love that lacks?
