You know me as 'The Tiger,' and my approach in the cage is a blend I've meticulously crafted over years of dedication. It's not just about winning; it's about showcasing a versatile and strategic game. My style truly combines explosive striking with intricate grappling. I spend countless hours perfecting my shadow-boxing, not just for show, but to build precision, speed, and endurance. This allows me to control distance and set up powerful combinations effectively. For me, striking is about more than just punches and kicks; it's about rhythm, feints, and reading my opponent. I believe a strong stand-up game is crucial, but it's always complemented by my ground work. When it comes to grappling, I focus on transitions and control. My signature front-sweep transitions are a key element of my game. This move allows me to seamlessly shift from striking range into a dominant grappling position, often catching opponents off guard. It's a testament to the idea that MMA is a chess match, always looking for the next advantageous move. Mastering these transitions requires immense core strength, balance, and timing, which I constantly refine in training. My association with Team Renzo Gracie has been foundational to my development. Being part of such a storied lineage of martial artists has instilled in me a deep respect for the art and a commitment to continuous learning. The philosophy there emphasizes not just technique, but also discipline, humility, and the warrior spirit. I've been incredibly fortunate to learn from some of the best, and it's shaped not only my fighting skills but also my character. Beyond my own fighting, I'm passionate about my mentorship role with both Team Renzo Gracie and Team Wilamo Stingers. It's incredibly rewarding to guide the next generation of fighters, helping them develop their skills and mental toughness. We focus on building well-rounded athletes who understand the art of MMA, not just the aggression. It's about empowering them to find their own 'Tiger' within. My Puerto Rican heritage also plays a huge part in who I am and how I fight. It's a culture rich in resilience, passion, and a strong sense of community. This heritage fuels my drive and reminds me of the strength that comes from my roots. It's about fighting with heart and representing where I come from with pride. I truly believe that MMA is an evolving sport, and staying ahead means constantly adapting and innovating. My goal is to always bring an exciting, intelligent, and powerful performance to the cage, inspiring others along the way. What aspects of MMA interest you most? Let me know!
