part adventure travel, part wildlife safari, with farm-to-table meals and 10 days off the grid, on a small ship. (60 passengers, not a slot machine in sight, no place to swipe a credit card.)
📍 This was my 2nd time cruising with UnCruise Adventures in Baja California Sur, Mexico, and I loved both trips! 🇲🇽 (Hosted press trips)

Having experienced UnCruise Adventures twice now, I can genuinely say these small ship cruises redefine what a wildlife safari and adventure travel can be. Unlike the massive cruise liners, these boutique cruises offer a sense of intimacy and connection with both the environment and fellow travelers. One of the most remarkable aspects is the focus on sustainability — from sourcing local, farm-to-table meals that support nearby communities to limiting the number of guests on board to just 60, which helps preserve the natural surroundings. The absence of slot machines and the inability to swipe a credit card onboard encourage guests to disconnect and truly immerse themselves in the remote areas they're exploring. The Baja California Sur itinerary offers an amazing mix of wildlife spotting, including sea lions, whales, and diverse bird species, alongside engaging activities like kayaking, snorkeling, and guided nature hikes. Spending 10 days off the grid allows for a rare chance to witness pristine landscapes without the crowds. It’s a refreshing break from typical travel routines, providing mental clarity and deep appreciation for nature's beauty. I also appreciate how knowledgeable and passionate the guides are—they not only ensure safety but enrich the experience with insights about the local ecosystem and conservation efforts. For anyone seeking an authentic adventure that balances comfort with eco-consciousness, this boutique cruise is worth considering over the conventional mega ships. It redefines sustainable travel by proving that smaller scale can lead to bigger memories.
