One popular method is disguising vegetables within their favorite dishes. For example, pureeing spinach or carrots into pasta sauce or blending cauliflower into mashed potatoes helps add nutrients without changing the taste too much. Another great approach is involving kids in the kitchen. When toddlers help prepare meals or snacks, they’re more excited to try the foods they made themselves. Making fun shapes with cookie cutters from bell peppers or cucumbers can transform veggies into playful bites that feel like treats. Using colorful and fresh vegetables also grabs attention. Bright reds, oranges, and greens make plates visually exciting, which can encourage kids to try new foods. Pairing veggies with dips like hummus or yogurt-based sauces can add flavors that toddlers love, making the eating experience more enjoyable. Consistency and patience are key. Sometimes it takes several tries before a child accepts a new vegetable. Offering variety and keeping mealtimes relaxed helps avoid power struggles. Remember, every family is different, so combining these tips with your own personal touch often leads to the best results in making healthy meals a happy habit.

lol here’s a kinda out there one I treat my kids like princes and princesses we have a little role play. “The commoners spent hours a labor to get those vegetables for you. You need to show your appreciation by eating them.” If that doesn’t do it then “princes and princesses won’t grow to be king or queen if they don’t eat their vegetables.” That’s usually gets them to eat at least a few.

Hi! I feel like every kid is different so take this with a grain of salt, but I toss fresh spinach and avocado in to my little guy’s smoothie (even though avocado is technically a fruit I guess 💁‍♀️). The greens blend well with everything else, the flavor is undetectable, and the avocado adds extra creaminess! If your kid will eat pasta, there’s a brand called Veggie Craft that makes simple ingredient noodles with good texture made from powdered veggies. Homemade pasta sauce is really easy to roast and blend at home, and that’s a good place to hide a lot of vegetables as well. Lastly, I have tried adding puréed veggies into chocolate muffins. Someone posted a good recipe on Lemon 8 if you want the link for those!! They turned out fluffy like cupcakes and can be sweetened to your family’s preferences ❤️
