Sacred Self-Care Reminder 🧚🏼‍♀️🫶

Let’s get clear on something:

🧚🏼‍♀️You can’t determine how someone else should feel in response to your actions.

To dismiss their reaction is to dismiss their lived experience and that’s not emotional maturity, that’s emotional invalidation.

Validating someone’s emotional reality doesn’t mean you’re agreeing with every perspective. It means you’re recognizing that their feelings are real, just as yours are.

🧚🏼‍♀️ This isn’t about “my truth vs. your truth.”

It’s about understanding that both people in any interaction have an emotional reality and both deserve space to be seen.

But here’s the flip side:

When someone constantly seeks emotional validation without taking accountability for how their actions affect others, this creates an imbalanced dynamic where only one person’s emotions are centered.

The other’s experiences are minimized or dismissed.

Over time, this creates:

🍄Emotional labor imbalance

🍄 Gaslighting or reality distortion

🍄 Emotional disconnection or resentment

True self-awareness means being able to say:

“My feelings are valid, AND I can see how my actions may have impacted you.”

This is the foundation of sacred self-care — care that’s rooted in both compassion and responsibility.

You can do both. That is the healing work.
