Double Striped Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies
Ever since I made these cookies my family raves about them. They’re filled with peanut butter flavor, as well as soft and decadent. If you aren’t a fan of peanut butter these might not be for you, but at least give them a try. Who doesn’t like peanut butter?? These are made with oats, peanut butter, drizzles of chocolate, and Reese’s p.b chocolate chips.

Ingredients;
* 3/4 c. Creamy peanut butter
* 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
* 1/3 c. Granulated sugar
* 1/3 c. Packed light brown sugar
* 1 egg
* 2 Tbsps. Milk
* 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
* 1 1/3 c. Quick cooking oats, divided
* 1 c. All-purpose flour
* 1 tsp. Baking soda
* 1/2 tsp. Salt
* 1/2 c. Chocolate chips
* 2 tsps. Shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread, or oil), divided
* 1/2 c. Reese’s Peanut Chips
Method;
01) Preheat oven to 350*F. Beat peanut butter and butter in a large bowl until well blended. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
02) In a medium bowl, stir together 1/2 cup of oats, flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
02) Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in remaining oats; Place on an ungreased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Flatten cookies with the tines of a fork to form a crisscross pattern.
03) Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to a wire rack. Cool completely.
04) Place chocolate chips and 1 tsp. shortening in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at medium (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave for an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chocolate is melted and smooth when stirred. Drizzle over cookies. Repeat procedure with peanut butter chips and remaining 1 tsp. shortening. Allow drizzles to set and enjoy!
