Is Tiffany & Co. jewelry worth it?

I wanted to share a bit about my Tiffany & Co. necklace. I got it back in 2015 for my confirmation from my sponsor, and it’s the “Heart Tag Chain Link Choker.” I’ve always loved it, but I noticed how often I had to clean it because it tarnishes so quickly and easily.

Recently, I saw that this necklace is coming back in style and decided to wear it again. I thought taking it to a Tiffany & Co. store would get it cleaned better than I could at home. However, even though they did clean it, it wasn’t as spotless or shiny as I expected. Considering the price of $825, I feel like it shouldn’t tarnish this quickly, and I was hoping for a better cleaning result from the store.

Has anyone else experienced this with their Tiffany & Co. jewelry? Any tips on keeping it looking new?

... Read moreTiffany & Co. has long been synonymous with luxury and quality, attracting consumers with its iconic blue boxes and craftsmanship. However, many customers share concerns about the maintenance of their jewelry. The Heart Tag Choker, which retails around $825, is a popular piece, yet users consistently note issues with tarnishing, a common complaint in silver jewelry. To maintain the shine and luster of your Tiffany pieces, regular cleaning is essential. Use a gentle silver polish cloth specifically designed for jewelry to remove tarnish. Additionally, limit exposure to moisture, perfumes, and lotions, as these can accelerate tarnishing. For deeper cleaning, consider professional services offered by Tiffany, though experiences vary among users about the effectiveness. It's also beneficial to store your jewelry in a dry, cool place, ideally in the original packaging, to minimize exposure to tarnish-inducing elements. Engaging with groups on platforms like Lemon8 can provide insights from fellow jewelry enthusiasts who share their methods for keeping their Tiffany collections pristine. Ultimately, consider if the aesthetic and sentimental value of Tiffany & Co. jewelry outweigh the maintenance challenges. If you cherish classic designs and the luxury appeal, investing in Tiffany may still be worthwhile despite the upkeep concerns.

Normal wear and tear will make it look worn no matter how many times Tiffany cleans it for you. I’ve had Tiffany jewelry for over 40years and it is worth it!!! I’ve never had to take any of mine for repairs!❤️
