FINDING MYSELF POST WLW BREAKUP❤️🩹
I always say healing isn’t linear. No matter what you’re healing from and during this process for me realizing that actually made me heal a bit differently and made me pay attention to how/what I’m healing.
For it being my first #wlwbreakup and #wlwrelationship it was great and not so great at the same time. I feel as though this was the most toxic I’d ever been in a relationship and also the most I’ve ever felt unheard/unseen in a relationship (even though this was only my 2nd flipping relationship🙄/Im PICKY OKAY NOT TOO DAMN MUCH).
However, I’ve learned how I need to properly communicate my feelings and not be scared because it might not sit well with the other person because my feelings matter as well and I also learned that I need to not blame my lack of communication and holding things in, on the other person. There’s plenty more that I have learned and I am taking this time to reinvent the parts of me that are not so pretty. And it’s starts with admitting that my actions were just as wrong as those of the other person.
Realizing the things where I went wrong is helping know what to pray and ask for guidance for. So that I can be a better version. A HAPPIER version of me.
I say this to say. Take everything as a lesson. Learn, comprehend, understand and use what you’ve gained wisdom on to better yourself in the future.
The road isn’t linear but at least I know I’m on the right path❤️😊

Finding oneself after a breakup, especially in a WLW relationship, can be both challenging and enlightening. Many individuals report feelings of confusion, especially if the relationship was particularly toxic or strained. It's important to acknowledge the complexities of emotional healing, which may include recognizing unhealthy patterns and learning to communicate effectively. Recognizing personal shortcomings while also addressing the dynamics with the partner creates a holistic approach to healing. Practicing self-compassion during this period is crucial. Instead of harboring resentment or guilt, embracing these emotions can empower growth. Journaling thoughts or seeking support from friends or communities that understand WLW experiences can provide comfort. Consider exploring the value of therapy or counseling to discuss the relationship's impact on personal mental health. Communicating feelings without fear of judgment deepens understanding in future relationships, helping to break recurring cycles. As you gain insight into what went wrong, it’s essential to celebrate small victories in your healing process. Every lesson learned contributes to your emotional toolkit, equipping you for future relationships. The journey may not be straight, but it can lead to a fulfilling self-discovery, allowing you to emerge stronger and more self-aware.
