Simple and affordable hair care routine
Here is my simple and affordable hair care routine!! Most of these products can be found on Amazon or at Target
1. Kristin Ess shampoo and conditioner - I have tried almost every shampoo and conditioner out there and always come back to this one. This price is unbeatable and is completely sulfate free. It leaves my hair feeling cleaner than ever and way better than olaplex imo.
2. Mielle oil and scalp massager - I've been using this oil along with scalp massager consistently every time before I wash my hair. What works best for me is leaving it in over night and only applying directly on your roots. Also double cleansing with shampoo after so it doesn't leave your hair oily!
3. Gisou (my all time favorite hair brand) these products are slightly on the expensive side but so worth it. My hair has never felt shinier and smells like heaven every time I use it. These products are extremely popular and I say for good reason. Their hair mask is the only mask l've noticed an immediate difference with. Their oil leaves an immediate shine. And the perfume is SO good I wish they had a body perfume version!

Finding a hair care routine that's both simple and affordable, especially when you're a time-pressed beauty shopper, can feel like a quest! While my go-to routine has a few excellent staples, I totally get wanting to simplify even further, perhaps down to just 2-3 products that still deliver amazing value. So, let's talk about how you can achieve healthy, beautiful hair without a huge investment of time or money. First, if you're aiming for a truly minimal two or three-product routine, focus on your absolute essentials: a good shampoo, a complementary conditioner, and one targeted treatment. For shampoo and conditioner, going for a quality yet budget-friendly, sulfate-free option like Kristin Ess (which I adore!) is a brilliant foundation. Sulfate-free formulas are gentler on your scalp and color, making them a smart choice for maintaining hair health. They effectively cleanse without stripping natural oils, leaving your hair feeling clean and prepped for the next step. Now for that crucial third product. If stimulating hair growth or tackling reducing dandruff is a priority, a product like the Mielle Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil paired with a scalp massager can be a game-changer. You don't need to use it every day; even once or twice a week before washing can make a significant difference. The massage itself boosts circulation, which is fantastic for scalp health, and the oil provides nourishment without needing a separate pre-poo or intense treatment. My personal trick for maximum absorption? Leave it on overnight, then double cleanse with your shampoo to ensure no oily residue is left behind. This simple addition packs a powerful punch for scalp and hair vitality. What if your goal is primarily *shiny, silky hair*? While Gisou's hair oil and hair mask are divine for an immediate glow (and that incredible scent!), you can still achieve a similar effect with fewer steps. A good leave-in conditioner or a lightweight hair oil applied sparingly to damp hair can work wonders for smoothness and shine. Look for products that offer heat protection if you use styling tools, adding another layer of value. Sometimes, a single multi-tasking product can cover several needs, like a leave-in spray that detangles, protects, and adds shine. Another super simple tip: invest in a satin pillowcase. It minimizes friction on your hair while you sleep, preventing breakage and keeping your hair smoother, which contributes to that shiny, silky hair look without adding any products to your routine. For a quick refresh between washes, a good dry shampoo can extend your style and keep your hair looking fresh, saving you time and product. Ultimately, a high-value, simple routine is about understanding your hair's core needs and finding products that address them effectively without unnecessary steps. Prioritize a gentle cleanse, consistent conditioning, and one targeted treatment that aligns with your biggest hair goal, whether it's growth, shine, or overall health. You don't need a shelf full of products to have amazing hair; you just need the right ones!
