✨ Pros: safe, stable, welcoming people (la teranga Senegalaise), kind people, French speaking country, beach vibes type place, good/fresh food, some restaurants menu’s are in English as well, perfect weather from January-May (65-79 degrees F), many activities (like the biggest African Statue, Saly beach, Goree Island where slaves were put lot of history there, the dormant Volcano 🌋, Ngor Beach, Bandia Animal Reserve and many more)
👀 Cons: it can get very hot up to 105 degrees F in the summer, lot of mosquitoes 🦟during rainy season, people begging for money on the streets (can be overwhelming for some), traffic is terrible.
🗺️ Tips: stay at a hotel (Fleur de Lys Senegal), have a guide (check out Hertz Senegal Loisirs), have a private driver and rental car (check out Hertz Senegal, Dakar limousine), explore safely and don’t go out alone at night.
