Balloons and wedding in singapore ✨

With Marcus & Jeanette, shared neighbourhoods, surprise sunshine, super cute balloons, and a beautiful solemnization to remember ✨

One of the first things we found especially interesting was that we all stay in Bishan! It was such a small-world moment and gave the day an instant sense of familiarity — almost like meeting people from the same neighbourhood and somehow ending up documenting one of the most meaningful chapters of their lives.

The weather kept us on our toes as it started raining, but thankfully, the skies eventually cleared up. We were so glad that the weather gave us a little window to continue creating outdoors, and we even managed to sneak in a shot or two at the National Gallery. It was a small detour, but the grand architecture and quiet corners gave the photographs such an elegant and timeless feel.

Their balloons were also such a cute addition to the celebration. They brought a playful touch to the photographs and matched Marcus & Jeanette’s warm, joyful energy perfectly 🎈

Another fun fact we discovered was that Marcus is a twin! It added another memorable detail to the day and made meeting their families and loved ones even more special.

Marcus & Jeanette, thank you for trusting us to capture your solemnization. It was an honour to be there for such an intimate and meaningful milestone, and we are so glad the rain cleared just in time for us to create these memories together.

Wishing both of you a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and a beautiful marriage ahead 🤍

... Read moreReflecting on weddings in Singapore, one of the most delightful aspects is how local elements such as neighborhoods and weather can play pivotal roles in shaping the day’s atmosphere. When photographing Marcus and Jeanette’s wedding, the shared connection of all being from Bishan added a unique and intimate layer to the experience. It reminded me how small the world can be and how these coincidences often enrich the stories behind the photos. The interplay of outdoor elements—sunshine, rain, and clouds—can truly make a wedding shoot unpredictable yet rewarding. From my experience, rain can initially seem like a challenge, but in fact, it often brings a fresh and soft light that enhances the mood of the images. Fortunately, as on this day, a clearing sky can offer that magical window of opportunity to capture stunning outdoor moments, like the shots at the National Gallery. The blend of grand, historic architecture and quiet corners provides a wonderful backdrop that complements the joyous and solemn mood of a wedding ceremony. Including balloons as part of the celebration is such a charming and creative idea. They add a whimsical and playful element to the wedding portraits, which contrasts beautifully with more formal poses. This not only reflects the couple's personality but also helps to lighten the atmosphere, making the photos more lively and relatable. Learning personal details, like Marcus being a twin, makes the event all the more memorable and reminds us of the importance of family and loved ones in these celebrations. Capturing these genuine connections adds depth and emotion to the photographs, preserving special moments that the couple and their families will treasure for years. If you’re planning a wedding in Singapore, consider how your local surroundings and family stories can be incorporated into your day. Simple touches like balloons or capturing your neighbourhood's charm can make your photos feel unique and personalized. Keep an eye on the weather, and be ready to make little detours, as unexpected locations can become stunning backdrops. Ultimately, being flexible and embracing these moments often results in beautiful, heartfelt images that celebrate the joy and love of your special day.

My Wedding Venue (More Cons Than Pros😭)
Finally revealing my wedding venue! I’ve never wanted to get married in a ballroom because I don’t believe in spending thousands decorating a ‘plain room’ with chandeliers and windows. My dream was always to have a sunset wedding in Bali or a wedding in a vineyard in Aussie. Somewhere with nature.
