Just a regular call… #tlsmith #bookrecommendations @Kia Carrington-Russell @Penny Dee Books
Collaborating with multiple authors can be a rewarding yet challenging experience, especially when trying to get everyone on board with the project timeline and creative direction. From my experience working with several authors, building trust and maintaining clear communication channels are key to successful cooperation. In one project, we faced difficulty securing the participation of a third author who was hesitant about the collaboration process. We decided to hold a casual call that allowed everyone to voice their ideas and concerns openly. This approach helped break down barriers and fostered a smoother workflow, eventually leading to full cooperation. I also found that acknowledging each author’s unique strengths and providing them with autonomy within their contributions makes them feel valued and more committed. Regular check-ins and an atmosphere of mutual respect encourage timely responses and engagement. For anyone managing multiple authors, I recommend offering flexibility while setting clear deadlines and encouraging open dialogue. Tools like shared documents and group chats streamline communication and keep all parties updated. Lastly, drawing inspiration from book recommendations by contributors like Kia Carrington-Russell and Penny Dee Books can enrich the creative process and provide fresh perspectives that invigorate collaboration efforts.
