I spent over a year in esthetician school... and it was a disaster.
3 months in, our teachers quit. One kept showing up drunk.
I was the oldest in my class, super passionate, and ready to learn.
I made flashcards, studied, did the work practicing on friends and family.
Then, 3 months before graduation, we were left with NOTHING.
No teacher. No clients. Just stuck in a tiny room with a TV.
We graduated on hours alone.

Now I'm back in school, working toward a major dream.
