📟 2019: The day Bart got sick, the day he was dumped, measles had spread to his nervous system, and on the day he was weakest, he faced everything alone.

He fought, and he survived. The little spasms still seen today are traces of that fight.

Bart is now happily playing with the gang, full of energy, and he closes his eyes every time someone puts his hand to stroke him, and he still trusts, and he chooses to love when he was once dumped.

🙋🏻🐶 if you're thinking of having a pet, remember that on the day they're sick or weak, that's the day they need you the most. Don't abandon them just because they're harder, because they have a heart, a feeling, and a life unlike us.

Love and responsibility should walk together.

Throwback to 2019.

Bart was abandoned when he got sick. Distemper had already affected his nervous system, and instead of standing by him, they walked away.

He survives. The small twitch he demonstrates today is proof of the battle he foughts.

Now he runs with the gang, full of life, and melts the second someone reaches down to pet him. After everything, he still chooses love.

If you choose to have a pet, remember this. When they get sick, that's when they need you most. Don't walk away when it becomes hard. They have a life, a heart, and feelings just like we do.

Loyalty should go both ways.
