Easy French Bread Recipe.🥖

Fresh bread is the best bread.😋 Having a few pastas on this week’s meal plan and this is perfect for garlic bread or just serving as is with a bit of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.🔥

🤍YOU NEED:

1 1/2 C warm water

2 tbs sugar

1 packet of active dry yeast

2 Tbs olive oil

1 1/2 tsp salt

4 C flour

1 egg (egg wash)

👩‍🍳RECIPE:

1. Start with activating your yeast. Add water, sugar and yeast to a bowl. Allow it to sit until foamy.

2. Add in oil and salt, stir and gradually add flour.

3. Transfer to a clean counter and knead for about 6 minutes until smooth.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning it to coat with oil. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

5. Punch down the dough and divide it in half. Shape each into a long loaf, about 12 inches.

6. Place the loaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Score if desired.

7. Let rise 30 more minutes. Preheat your oven to 375.

8. Egg wash each and bake for 25-30 minutes. 📝 It will be golden brown and sound hollow with you tap it.

9. Let cool and slice.
