From JR Sendai Station West Exit Bus Pool No. 16, take the sightseeing city loop bus "Loople Sendai" for about 23 minutes. Get off at the bus stop "Sendai Castle Ruins."
There are stairs from the bus stop to the Honmaru ruins.

It is recommended to use the subway for the cheapest and fastest way. It takes about 35 minutes and the fare is reasonable at 210 yen. There is little waiting time because it is operated regularly.
There are two routes 👇
① 20 minutes walk from Kokusai Center Station
② From Yagiyama Zoological Park Station, take the bus bound for Miyakyodai and Aobadai (No.3 stop) for 5-6 minutes and get off at Sendai Castle Ruins Minami.

Go straight on the main street "Aoba-dori" in front of Sendai Station, cross the Hirose River and turn left at the intersection of Sendai Castle Ruins. About 10 minutes from Sendai Station. There is a castle turret at the corner of the road leading directly to Honmaru, so it is good to use it as a landmark.
The parking lot is OK for 100 cars and large buses for a fee. Business hours are from 8: 30 to 16: 30 (varies depending on the season).

「仙台駅から青葉城（仙台城跡）まで、結局どれが一番ラク？」と迷ったので、私が行ったときの体感も含めて補足します。結論、初めてならバスで迷いにくく、コスパ重視なら地下鉄、荷物が多いなら車（ただし駐車場と規制確認）が安心でした。 ■ 仙台駅から仙台城跡へ：迷いにくさ重視なら「るーぷる仙台」 仙台駅から仙台城跡へバスで行くなら、観光シティループの「るーぷる仙台」が王道。停留所名が分かりやすく、車内アナウンスも観光向けなので、土地勘がなくても不安が少なかったです。降りてから本丸方面は上り＋階段があるので、歩きやすい靴だと快適。 ■ 最安で行くなら「地下鉄東西線」＋徒歩／バス 料金を抑えたい日は地下鉄が強いです。「国際センター駅」から歩くルートは、散歩感覚で行ける反面、地味に上りが続くので体力に自信がある方向け。「できれば歩きを減らしたい」なら、「八木山動物公園駅」→（バス）→「仙台城跡南」下車のほうがラクでした。風が強い日や暑い日は、歩く時間が短いルートを選ぶと満足度が上がります。 ■ 車で行く場合：仙台城跡の駐車場と通行止めチェックが必須 仙台城跡の駐車場は台数があり、大型バスもOKなのが安心ポイント。ただ、観光シーズンや週末は混みやすい印象です。私は「到着が遅くなる日」は、先に駐車場の営業時間（季節変動あり）と、石垣崩落の恐れによる通行止め情報を調べてから出発しました。ナビ任せでも行けますが、現地は曲がり角が続くので、時間に余裕を持つのがおすすめ。 ■ ここから青葉城まで：現地での“最後の上り”対策 どのルートでも、最後に少し上りが待っています。「ここから青葉城まであと少し」なのに、意外と息が上がるので、水分を一本持っておくと安心。ベビーカーや大きい荷物がある場合は、階段を避けやすい動線を意識すると移動ストレスが減ります。 ■ 迷ったときの選び方（私の基準） ・観光もまとめて楽しみたい：るーぷる仙台 ・安く早く行きたい：地下鉄東西線（＋歩けるなら徒歩） ・歩きを減らしたい：地下鉄＋バスで「仙台城跡南」 ・家族連れ／荷物多め：車（駐車場・通行止め確認） 仙台城跡公園は眺めが良くて、行くまでの小さな工夫で満足度が変わりました。自分の体力と予定に合わせて、いちばんストレスが少ないアクセスを選んでみてください。
