Replying to @Rachel Dominguez Mor it lasts me more than 24hrs. Especially for the tops #dentures #toothless #teeth #to0thlessqueen #dentureconfidence
It's a common frustration many of us face: that feeling when your denture adhesive starts to lose its grip by late afternoon, leaving you feeling less confident. I've been there, and I know how much it impacts your day when you fear your dentures might shift or loosen. But I’ve tried and tested a few methods that really make a difference, helping my adhesive last well over 24 hours, especially for those crucial top dentures! First, preparation is key. Before applying any adhesive, make sure your dentures and your gums are thoroughly clean and dry. Any moisture or food particles can hinder the adhesive's bond. I always brush my gums gently and rinse my mouth before putting my dentures in. For my dentures, I use a soft brush and denture cleaner, then ensure they are completely dry before moving on. This step is often overlooked but makes a huge difference in how long the glue lasts. Next, consider the amount and application technique. Many people think more adhesive equals a stronger hold, but that's not always true. Too much can cause oozing, discomfort, and actually weaken the bond. I apply a few small dots or thin strips, not too close to the edge, on my top denture. For the bottom, it might be slightly different as the ridge is usually smaller. Experiment to find the sweet spot for your individual fit. After placing them, I bite down firmly for a few seconds to create a good seal. This helps distribute the adhesive evenly and activate its holding power, ensuring there's no glue left in unwanted places, but plenty where it counts! What you eat and drink can also impact your adhesive's longevity. Sticky or hard foods can challenge even the strongest hold. While I don't restrict myself completely, being mindful of what I consume, especially in the hours immediately after application, helps a lot. Hot liquids can sometimes degrade the adhesive faster, so I try to let my coffee or tea cool down a bit before sipping. Avoiding constant readjustments or playing with your dentures with your tongue also helps maintain the seal. Finding the right type of adhesive for you is another game-changer. There are creams, powders, and even strips. I've tried various brands and forms, and what works best for one person might not for another. Don't be afraid to experiment until you find an adhesive that gives you that reliable, all-day hold you need. The goal is to avoid that dreaded moment when you feel your dentures slipping and needing to reapply, sometimes even multiple times a day. Ultimately, a secure hold boosts your overall denture confidence immensely. Knowing that your dentures are stable means you can talk, laugh, and eat without worry. It truly transforms your daily life when you don't have to constantly think about your teeth. These simple practices have helped me achieve a comfortable and long-lasting hold, giving me the freedom to live my life to the fullest without the common problem of my adhesive giving up too soon. I hope these tips help you too!

I found an awesome tool to get them out of your mouth if you’re interested. I have purchased them because I could not get them out with the glue and my nails. That being said, I’m still having trouble finding a way to keep them in without rocking.
