Rain is coming too

One of the most important lessons I've encountered is the value of preparation and adaptability. Before every shoot, I spend time scouting locations, considering how natural light changes with weather, and anticipating potential challenges. Rain can actually enhance photos by creating dramatic reflections and moody atmospheres, so instead of seeing it as a setback, I try to embrace it creatively. Working with models during these sessions also requires clear communication. I explain the plan thoroughly and make sure everyone is comfortable and safe in wet conditions. Sometimes, quick adjustments to poses or angles help capture the best moments without compromising the shoot's vision. Elopements bring their own unique dynamics, as they’re often intimate and spontaneous. Planning these means aligning with the couple's desires while being prepared to pivot if unexpected weather strikes. Over the years, I’ve gathered tips like bringing protective gear for equipment and creating backup locations that offer shelter. Overall, spending days on location with amazing models and clients has taught me that meticulous planning combined with creative flexibility leads to rewarding and memorable photography, rain or shine.
