Why is naming a brand so hard?!

Naming a brand is HARD.

We knew from the start that we wanted a name that feels cosmic because it just sounds right. But knowing the vibe and actually finding the name are two very different things.

We spent around one whole month going back and forth.

Because we were so stuck, we turned to a brand naming website just to get some inspiration. The name it suggested was Jessica… or something similar. Apparently it had a beautiful meaning tied to a Goddess.

But let’s be real, who will name their crystal brand Jessica???

Instantly rejected. 😒

Then we went down another rabbit hole: websites that has names related to Gods and deities from different beliefs. That’s when we came across the name “Juno.”

I was sold immediately. Not because of the Goddess meaning but because it reminded me of the horror movie “Ju-on.” 🥸

I thought it was cool. My cousin?

Absolutely not.

After many more discussions, overthinking, and mild frustration, she suddenly came up with EONS.

And then, it’s as though something shifted, during one of our logo discussions she said, “What if it’s To Eons instead?” That was the moment it all clicked. It reminded us of Buzz Lightyear’s iconic line, “To infinity… and beyond!”

And just like that, after one full month of thinking, the name was finally settled. To Eons.

Okay but, the professional way of telling this story would be:

The name represents a commitment to build this business together, through time, growth, and challenges.

It took us a month, a horror movie reference, a rejected Goddess name, and Buzz Lightyear energy to get here.

Okay, but later we realised that when written together, “To Eons” looks like “Toe Ons”. By then, it was too late to change anything. Lmao.
