My mother passed away from ALS on Mother’s Day 2008. She’s always loved cardinals and lately I haven’t seen any. These red leaves stayed on this tree for quite some time. I believe this is a sign from her. 😇💞

Cardinals, often regarded as symbols of loved ones who have passed, bring messages of hope and continuity. The vibrant red of a cardinal against the winter landscape evokes memories and feelings of connection to the past. After losing a mother, many people find themselves more attuned to signs around them, be it the appearance of specific birds, flowers, or other reminders of their loved ones. The presence of cardinals can inspire thoughts of love, reminiscence, and faith in an afterlife. Nature has a profound ability to evoke memories and emotions, making it easier to process grief. In this context, the cyclical nature of seasons reflects the ongoing journey of loss and healing. Just as leaves change and grow, so too does our understanding of grief evolve over time. Embracing these signs can foster a sense of peace and connection, guiding us toward acceptance and remembrance. If you've experienced loss, pay attention to the subtle signals nature provides — they might just be messages from those you hold dear.
