Carrot cake matcha latte 🥕🎂🍵
I’ve been obsessed with carrot cake oatmeal lately, and while making it yesterday it literally hit me… why not turn it into a syrup?
So I did. Last night. 😂 And wowwww. So good.
What’s in it:
• 3g matcha
• 35 ml hot water
• 1/3 cup oat milk
• 2 tbsp carrot cake syrup (yes TWO, but it’s like 95% carrots so not too sweet)
• Shredded carrot for garnish

If you’re a matcha enthusiast looking to experiment with new and exciting flavors, blending the earthy taste of matcha with the natural sweetness of carrot cake syrup is an excellent choice. Creating your own carrot cake syrup at home is surprisingly simple and allows you to control the sweetness and quality of ingredients. The syrup in this recipe is mostly carrots, making it a healthier alternative to many sugary syrups available on the market. When preparing the latte, using oat milk adds a creamy texture and subtle sweetness that pairs wonderfully with both matcha and carrot cake flavors. Oat milk also tends to froth well, enhancing the latte experience. For those who are health-conscious or following plant-based diets, this combination is especially appealing. Tip: To make your carrot cake syrup, simmer finely grated carrots with a small amount of water and natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup, along with warm spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. This homemade syrup captures the essence of carrot cake and adds depth to your latte without overwhelming sweetness. Another great addition is the shredded carrot garnish, which not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds a tiny crunch and fresh carrot flavor with every sip. It's a simple touch that elevates the overall presentation. This carrot cake matcha latte is perfect for anyone looking for a cozy, comforting beverage that offers a special twist on traditional matcha drinks. It’s great for mornings, afternoon breaks, or even as a healthier dessert alternative. Plus, making it at home means you can adjust the flavors to suit your taste preferences, whether you want it sweeter, more earthy, or creamier. Experimenting with this recipe also fits well with wellness challenges like Dry January, offering a delightful, alcohol-free drink option that’s both tasty and nutritious.
