Read moreFrom my own experience as a parent and observer of family dynamics, I have learned that loving a child deeply means much more than simply giving in to every request or avoiding setting rules. True love is guiding a child toward becoming a responsible, kind, and emotionally healthy person. This means saying no when necessary and helping them understand the reasons behind limits. Children thrive when they feel safe but also understand boundaries. When parents allow everything without restrictions, the child may feel loved in the moment, but it can undermine their ability to learn self-discipline and respect for others. It’s important to communicate love through consistent rules, fair consequences, and open conversations. Reflecting on the phrase “AMAR A UN HIJO NO ES PERMITIRLE TODO,” I realize it encapsulates the essence of good parenting—love balanced with guidance. Parenting moments where you have to deny a child's wants can be challenging, but long-term, they nurture resilience and good judgment. Including educational and reflective angles helps parents see that their role is not only to provide entertainment or satisfaction but also to prepare their children for future challenges. By establishing thoughtful boundaries, parents empower children to become confident adults who understand that love involves care, limits, and respect.
