Lunch at Potbelly and Dessert at Colossal Cupcake
For lunch we stopped at Potbelly which was a first for me! The staff here is so friendly! I got a “skinny” (actually HUGE) Italian Sandwich and was able to add all my favorite toppings! If you like spicy food - GET THEIR HOT PEPPERS!!! They were so good!! I also got their loaded baked potato soup which was perfect!! The atmosphere was also super cool. After lunch we headed across the street to Colossal Cupcakes which is a instagrammers dream Barbie photo shoot! I wanted every cupcake they all looked so good! I ended up getting a Vanilla Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cheesecake Cupcake and they were both HUGE and DELICIOUS!!! They were to die for!!

My recent trip to Cleveland truly highlighted some fantastic local eats, and I just had to share more about my experience at Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Colossal Cupcakes. If you're wondering about Potbelly's lunch menu and what to expect price-wise, let me give you the lowdown. I found their menu incredibly versatile, catering to all sorts of cravings. Beyond the 'skinny' Italian sandwich I mentioned, which, by the way, was packed with flavor and definitely not 'skinny' on taste, they have a fantastic array of other options like turkey, roast beef, and even vegetarian choices. What I love is the ability to customize everything – from the type of bread to an extensive selection of fresh toppings. In terms of prices, Potbelly offers great value, especially for a fast-casual spot that focuses on fresh, made-to-order sandwiches. You can typically expect a sandwich to be in the $8-$12 range, and adding a cup of their delicious soup or a side of chips would bring a combo meal to around $12-$15. Their loaded baked potato soup, which I highly recommend, is a hearty and satisfying addition. It’s comforting and perfectly seasoned. This makes it a really accessible and satisfying lunch option, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a more relaxed meal. The efficiency of their service means you get quality food without a long wait, which is a huge plus during a busy day. Moving on to the sweet side of things, if you're evaluating options for dessert, Colossal Cupcakes is an absolute must-visit right across from Potbelly. While Potbelly doesn't specialize in 'cakes' themselves, this nearby bakery perfectly fills that gap. The name 'Colossal' isn't just for show – these cupcakes are genuinely huge and incredibly decadent. They have an astonishing variety, far beyond just vanilla and chocolate. Think red velvet, lemon berry, s'mores, and seasonal specials. Each cupcake feels like a miniature work of art, and they are perfect for sharing – or not, if you're anything like me! The atmosphere inside is so charming and vibrant, it truly feels like stepping into a 'Barbie photoshoot' dream, as I described. It’s not just about the taste; it’s the whole experience. From the moment you walk in, the display cases are a feast for the eyes, making it almost impossible to choose just one. My Vanilla Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cheesecake choices were rich, moist, and absolutely hit the spot, making for an unforgettable end to my Cleveland food adventure. So, if you're looking for a satisfying lunch and a truly 'colossal' dessert, this Potbelly and Colossal Cupcakes combo is a winner!
