September Empties with Product Reviews ~ 30/32
❌-10/10 ~ I did not finish this! I have NEVER had an allergic reaction to a makeup or skincare product before. I was using this and I didn't love it but I didn't want to waste the product so I tried to use it up. It irritated my eyes and did not remove all of my makeup. It left my skin feeling dirty and greasy. The last time I used it I had an allergic reaction to my entire face. I broke out in hives and turned red and my face felt like it was on fire it was so hot. I don't know if it reacted to the makeup I was wearing that day or what but it was so horrible. I will NEVER repurchase this! #productempties #didnotfinish #september #productreviews #lemon8
When it comes to makeup removers, not all products suit every skin type, and allergic reactions can sometimes occur even with products that seem gentle at first. Makeup removers are designed to effectively dissolve and remove all traces of makeup, including waterproof formulas, without leaving residue or irritation. However, some formulations can leave the skin feeling greasy or unclean if the ingredients are not well balanced or if the product doesn't suit the user's skin. In this review, the makeup remover led to significant discomfort, including eye irritation and an allergic reaction that caused redness, hives, and a burning sensation. This highlights the importance of patch testing new skincare or makeup products before regular use, especially if you have sensitive skin or a history of allergies. Moreover, it is crucial to check the ingredient list for common irritants such as fragrances, alcohol, or certain preservatives that might trigger sensitivities. Some people find oil-based makeup removers effective and gentle, but the product recognized as "OilMakeup Remover" in the image suggests that this was an oil-based cleanser, which can sometimes leave a greasy feeling if not emulsified properly or rinsed well. For those experiencing similar issues, alternatives include micellar waters, which are gentle and effective for most skin types, or cleansing balms that transform from solid to oil but rinse off cleanly. Always follow with a gentle facial cleanser to ensure removal of all residue. Sharing experiences and product empties with candid reviews helps the community make informed decisions, especially regarding skin safety and product efficacy. If a product causes a serious reaction, discontinue use immediately and consider consulting a dermatologist. Remember, what works for one person’s skin may not work for another’s, so personal experience and attentiveness to how your skin responds are key to maintaining healthy skin.
