✅ 7/10 ~ This is the L’Oréal Paris EverPure Glossing Acidic Glaze. I really like this in shower spray! This is the second bottle I’ve gone through. I notice that my hair is smoother and not as tangled, but I don’t really notice it being “glossier” or shinier. I only wash my hair twice a week so this bottle lasted a long time! (It is a spray bottle, in the picture my cap broke off but it does spray). It’s very affordable too! I love L’Oréal makeup products so when they started coming out with hair products I knew they would be amazing! I do really like this but I am also looking for something that will give me more of a “fresh out of the salon shine” if that makes sense. #productempties#empties#productreview#october#hair

... Read moreI totally get what you mean about wanting that 'fresh out of the salon' shine! It's the holy grail, isn't it? When I first started using the L'Oréal EverPure Glossing In-Shower Acidic Glaze, I was just as excited about the promise of gloss. While it absolutely delivers on making my hair feel incredibly smooth and helps with tangles – seriously, my comb just glides through now – I also found myself wondering if I was missing something when it came to that intense, mirror-like shine.
It got me thinking, maybe it's about managing expectations, or perhaps how we use these types of products. For me, even though I didn't get bombshell gloss, the smoothness and reduced frizz were huge wins, especially since it's a sulfate-free and color care formula. Knowing it won't strip my hair color is a big relief. I've heard from others that for some hair types, the gloss effect builds up over time, or it’s more about a healthy sheen rather than a dazzling sparkle.
If you're like me and chasing that ultimate salon-grade shine, here are a few things I've learned and tried that might help you get more out of your glossing treatments, or achieve that extra sparkle:
Firstly, application is key. Even though it's an in-shower product, making sure your hair is properly towel-dried to remove excess water before applying can help the product concentrate better on your strands. I usually squeeze out as much water as I can, sometimes even giving it a quick blot with a microfiber towel. Then, I make sure to distribute the acidic glaze evenly, from roots to ends, really working it in. And don't skimp on the timing! Letting it sit for the full recommended duration, or even a minute longer if your hair feels like it needs it, can make a difference.
Another thing I've explored is how other products in my routine interact. Sometimes a heavy conditioner or styling product can weigh hair down, masking any potential gloss. I’ve found that pairing this glaze with a lighter conditioner on days I really want to emphasize shine, or using a very minimal leave-in, helps. Also, rinsing thoroughly with cool water at the end of your shower can help seal the cuticle, which naturally enhances shine.
For that extra 'oomph,' I’ve started incorporating a shine spray or serum applied to dry hair as a final step. It’s like the cherry on top! While the L'Oréal EverPure Glossing Glaze acts as a great foundation for smoother, healthier-feeling hair, these additional steps can really amplify the visual gloss. Remember, a healthy hair cuticle reflects light better, so anything that smooths it down, like this glaze, is a step in the right direction. Plus, being sulfate-free means it's gentle, which is crucial for maintaining hair health over time.
Ultimately, while the EverPure Glossing Glaze might not give everyone that extreme, 'fresh out of the salon' mirror shine right away, its benefits for smoothness, detangling, and hair health (especially for color care) are definitely noticeable. It's a fantastic, affordable option for improving hair texture and a good base for building up more shine with other techniques. Don't forget that consistent use and a holistic hair care routine play a huge role in achieving truly radiant hair!
